| Donors often express an interest
in giving to a specific area of the hospital. For example,
someone whose father received Emergency treatment may
like to say thank-you to this area of the hospital or
a related unit, such as CCU or ICU.
Alternatively, some donors simply want to make an
open gift. These gifts are known as undesignated gifts.
This means the funds are applied to areas of greatest
need at RUH.
In either case, all funds received by the RUH Foundation
are used to enhance patient-care, either through staff
training, equipment, or clinical research.
