| The RUH Foundation is pleased to
comply with the federal privacy act, known as the Personal Information
Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
As a charitable organization, the Foundation's practices and
procedures have always been guided by three important documents
set out by the Association of Fundraising Professionals: the Donor
Bill of Rights, the Code of Ethical Principles, and the Standards
of Professional Practice.
The new privacy act, effective January, 2004, reinforces the
Foundation's respectful obligation to protect the privacy of its
donors. Internal policies and practices are currently being reviewed
to ensure that donor privacy is protected.
Arla Gustafson, Executive Director of the RUH Foundation, has assumed the role of Privacy Officer in accordance with the Act. All questions regarding the Foundation's policies and practices may be forwarded to Ms. Gustafson at 655-1050, or Arla.Gustafson@saskatoonhealthregion.ca. |
