Endowments create a legacy for the future. The funds are invested in perpetuity, which is to say, the principal investment remains intact throughout the life of the endowment. Designated projects and initiatives are supported with the investment income that accrues from the endowment. The more funds in the endowment, the greater the rewards.
The Royal University Hospital Foundation manages a portfolio of endowments that support a variety of initiatives, from state-of-the-art medical training to neo-natal care.
Three new endowments were created in 2008 in recognition of the RUH Foundation's 25th anniversary. They are:
The Donna and Tony Dagnone Endowment in support of the "Inspiration Award" for excellence in medical personnel.
The Community Mental Health Endowment in support of research, training and patient-care benefiting those in our community who suffer from mental illness and addictions.
Dr. Ali Rajput Endowment for Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorders in support of ground-breaking research into the causes and treatment of Parkinson's disease.
Endowments ensure your donation goes to work year after year. Please consider establishing an endowment in your name or making a donation to the RUH Foundation endowment of your choice.
